Jim Naccarato

Jim Naccarato, born in 1971, is an elementary-school teacher with more than thirty years in the classroom, where storytelling has always been his secret superpower. He fell in love with books as a kid and never really put them down. That love carried him through his studies at Rhode Island College and Providence College, shaping both his teaching style and his belief that stories can change the way children see the world.

Across three decades of teaching, Jim became known for turning everyday moments into adventures. Whether he was reading aloud, inventing characters on the spot, or helping a reluctant reader find the book that finally “clicked,” he approached literature the way most people approach oxygen. It’s simply part of who he is. Writing became a natural extension of that passion, giving him a chance to share the same wonder he sparks in his students with children everywhere.

He now lives in Florida with his family and a small pack of loyal dogs who are convinced they’re the real stars of every story he writes. When Jim isn’t creating new tales, he’s usually somewhere with a book in hand, proving that curiosity has no age limit.
